A visit to the dentist

On August 28th it was time to haul the kids to the dentist for their yearly check ups. I only had to take 7 and Chris stayed home with the other three. It was Owen's very first visit to the dentist and he did so well. Lucky boy is the only one out of the 7 that doesn't have to go back for work to be done. We started the day at 8am and were home by 1130am. In a few weeks I will be taking 6 of them back to get some work done. The problem is one their back teeth, so I am thinking this year for Christmas everyone is getting an electric tooth brush so they can get that extra help with brushing. Here are some pictures of Owen. I only got pictures of him, since it was his first visit.

Worried about having his shoes on.

Ward campout 2008

Well, it has been years since we have been camping. And I sadly have to admit that most my children have never gone. So we decided the ward camp out was the perfect place to start. And it was so fun. Chris and I had brought so much food that we were able to feed so many to her in our ward and it was so fun sitting, eating and visiting with everyone. We were able to get to know some members of our ward even better, and hopefully everyone doesn't think we are the crazy family with 10 kids. We decided next time we are camping for way longer, because it is just too much work packing, setting up, taking down and unpacking for just one night. I have heard rumors of the ward doing another camp out next year and I can't wait. We are also planning a few family camping trips next year and so our tradition of camping is now started!!! WOOHOO!!!!

hmmm funny how I only thought to take pictures during eating times. The roasting of marshmallows is fun, but I must admit a bit stressful for me as sticky gets everywhere. I am going to have to brainstorm for next summer on a way for the kids to not get so sticky, if that is possible. hehehe

Zipporah is 6

Zipporah turned 6 on August 19th. We did however, celebrate on the 18th. She was so lucky and grandma and grandpa Boehme and Lucy were up and had to leave early on the 19th so we had her birthday a day early so they could be here for it. She wasn't sad at all about getting presents early. On her actual birthday, Chris took her out for lunch and she went on a little shopping spree at the dollar store. Her and Sydney will be having a combined party with friends a week or so after school starts.

Whats one more

I did announce a couple weeks ago, but we had a bit of a scare, so I deleted it and after 2 weeks of waiting I can finally post that we are pregnant and this time leave it up. My ultrasound today was one just to check for a heartbeat and to see if my dates are correct. The ultrasound tech was so nice and put the thing on my belly and said right away, there is a heart beat. Big relief. Then she quickly measured for dates and they are right on, she printed a picture and called in Chris and we got to see baby kicking around and she showed us the heart beating, then it was over. So I am 15 weeks along and due January 30th. I have been really really sick, but it is slowly getting better, which is nice. We are most likely not going to find out the sex of the baby this time. I really like the surprise and although it was fun finding out with Calliope, this time we will wait.
