Happy birthday Marissa

My friend Marissa had a birthday today!! Happy birthday Marissa!!! I don't know how she does it, but she turned 21 again! That is so amazing! hehehe Anyways, of coarse I made her a cake. It is a big cake, but everyone needs a big cake on their birthday, especially when you turn 21.

here it is before the chocolate was added. It is real ice cream. I had to make the scoops a few days ahead so they could really freeze and get hard so they didn't melt before I took the cake to her house. I hope you had a fabulous day Marissa, and hopefully next year when you turn 21 it will be just as great!

Daisy's 11th birthday

WOW!!! Daisy is 11. My children are getting older way to fast. I will tell you, 11 years ago I didn't know Daisy. In fact in my own little world, it was me, Chris and our 5 month old son Forrest. Who would have thought that we would be lead to her and she would be ours? 11 years ago, I wasn't thinking about adoption, or even fostering for that matter. She joined our family when she was 4 1/2, along with her sister who was 3 1/2. We fell in love instantly and I am so greatful things worked out for Daisy to be one of ours. It is so amazing to see how Heavenly Father guided us through events that brought her to our home.

For her birthday she had her friend Morgan sleep over on Friday. Saturday I took them in to Edmonton so Daisy could spend all her birthday money. She bought a ds and a couple games. And then I got her a stuffed animal she can go on the internet with. Then we went for lunch at Swiss Chalet. so yummy!!!
Today we had her pick for dinner, scalloped potatoes and ham, and then cake and ice cream. And I did buy her a rescue e-pet so that she could have something to open on her birthday. The cake is her pick, and I love the little penguins, they turned out really nice.

Double digits

Well the day has finally come. I am down to double digits. Only 99 days to go in this pregnancy. 99 is still a lot of days, but I remember being like 239 and thinking holy stank that is so far away, so 99 seems so much closer. So yeah for today, it is all down hill from here right? hahaha And as an added bonus I have included a couple self taken pictures of my belly hehehe they are kinda funny, so enjoy.

this one is a view of what I see when I look down. HAHAHA nothing but belly!!!!!!! Well I see boobs too but you don't need to see those.

Picture of baby

On the 15th I went for another ultrasound. It was so awesome. I so love seeing the baby and the tech was so so so nice and she chatted with me the whole time. Chris was able to leave work for awhile so he could see the baby too. We got to see babies awesome heart beating and she showed us the babies stomach and said that she can see fluid in it, so she knows the baby is already swallowing really well. Also got to see babies bladder. And she showed me my bladder and the placenta! hehehe I should also add that the baby weighs 1 1/2 pounds now!!! And the baby looked so squished and uncomfortable but she reassured me that babies have no cartilage (something I hadn't known before) and they are very comfortable. Baby is head down, so now on to my plan to have the baby 2 weeks early and on a Saturday. hehehe My excitement has increased since the ultrasound. I so can't wait to hold this baby!!!!

Baby at 25 weeks. I say baby is picking its nose, the tech says no way they don't do that yet! LOL!!

This is from my ultrasound at 15 weeks. Look hard baby is face down head on the left.

Bee cake

Today my friend Joelle turned 30!!!! I decided to make her a birthday cake, since I have been known to make a cake or two lately! I choose a bee cake because they had to battle wasps this summer under their front porch. I also visit teach Joelle and have had to run through the swarm of wasps to get into her house. Luckily, the wasps are gone now, but I still felt it would be a fun cake to make. Her boys were so cute when I brought it to her, they were so excited to see it. I just love surprising people with cake.

Joelle and her birthday cake made by me!

So funny because Tia kept going really close to the face and looking in his "eyes" and saying "you can't see me, no you can't!" it was pretty cute
